Covid-19 Pandemic raised a serious challenge in the month of August 2020 when 3 Million school students were expected to give their Pre-engineering and medical exams. Many students, specially students in rural areas, found it difficult to travel to their exam centres, which were 100-150km away, without public transport such as trains and buses
Group of few IIT alumni and students come together with an aim to help students from rural areas reach their exam centre
Build a portal called “EduRide” which received requests from more than 6000 students who were appearing for JEE/NEET entrance exam across India
Helped 600+ students reach their exam centres, raising a total donation of 14 Lakh in a time span of 30 days
Recognised by Ministry of Education, Government of India and featured by major national media agency and hundreds of local media houses and newspaper
It all started with helping underprivileged rural students with transport assistance during Covid-19 pandemic. Our motivation for EduRide came from not letting any student miss their exam just because there was no public transport or their ability to afford private vehicles.
We wanted to channelize resources and people to help as many students as possible to reach their exam centres.
Build an inclusive environment to bring people together to bridge the resource gap in India’s education system.
We envision an India that makes sure every child get- “Right to professional skills/college education” along with all necessary resources.
